Dear All, Thought you might want to hear this. 2+2 failed the MOT due to the drivers seat not moving as required. I checked it and it seemed OK, so I just lub'ed it and realised that the 80's Ford mechanism has a sideways movement to a handle while many other cars have a vertical movement of a bar to release. So on retest I stressed the sideways movement. In the end the tester was good enough to say he made a mistake and was moving the handle the wrong way all the time! Still no extra cost.
