Some photos of the lock in-situ in the Mk3 Fiesta at:
http://www.fiestaguides.co.uk/content/clewbr.html

The 21st (!) photo shows the two actuating arms attaching to the two holes
in the lock release arm - the one furthest from the pivot is for the manual
release (via the outside key barrel) and the second hole is for the arm
from the solenoid release. Both arms clip into the holes separately using
the little white nylon grommet/clip thingys. I had a problem on my car in
that the boot release was a bit difficult to operate, and eventually
the plastic clip broke/fell out with the boot closed, and it took me a lot
of effort to get the boot open again without significant damage. BTW, the
hole in the side of the clip is to bolt the clip onto part of the tailgate
frame - see :
http://www.fiestaguides.co.uk/content/mk3_locks.html

Photos 11 and 12 show the clip in place, and photo 14 shows the lock
mechanism and rods with the clip removed.

This is a useful description, as both versions of the Mk3 Haynes manual
show no detail of this area - some of the other guides on this site are
useful. See also fiestaturbo.com for other useful guides, e.g.
http://www.fiestaturbo.com/forums/guide-coding-your-keys-and-rebuilding-your-locks-vt169403/
for a description on how to make matching locks from the uncoded Ford
barrel kits.
