When I bought my first Quantum 2+2 four and a half years ago I wanted it for
its engine which was an Escort RS turbo lump tuned to approx 170 bhp (though
advertised as 240 bhp!).
Since then the car has grown on me and despite one or two niggly faults it has
been a hoot to own. I am 62, soon to be 63, with retirement not so far away now
and thought I would sell my Porsche 944 and get a hard top for the Quant and
arranged to buy Marks recently advertised one, then a work chum told me of a
Quantum 2+2 for sale in Bognor, it turns out to be a 1600 carb XR2 engined one
with a hard top and not bad condition, so Quantum 2+2 chassis Q2 280 joins Q2
156 in my fleet of inexpensive fun cars.
Mark has kindly forgiven me, thaks Mark.
The previous owner has bought a new remote servo as the one in the car is weak.
Is there enough interest for me to picture the mod as I do it in case any one
else goes down this path?

Cheers Jon RSTXR2
