Stainless steel would not be a good choice for the P clamps.
The existing mild steel ones seem to fail from metal fatigue and stainless
steel work hardens and becomes brittle a lot more than mild steel does.

Are the same clamps not used on the Mk4/5 Fiesta and the KA ?
They may have revised the part number if there was a problem with them
breaking, but the suspension on those cars is the same setup, the KA
especially, it’s basically a Mk3 Fiesta underneath.
I will try to remember to have a look later on Microcat.

Subject: [Quantum Owners] H4 Rear Anti roll bar clamps and other hard to find
parts

Hi All
Having failed it's MOT on these, I had a look round on sourcing. They're
apparently NLA (No Longer Available) through Ford since 2011. I did find some
on Ebay at c.£10 ea, compared with originals at under £3 (2010) and some
purpose made in stainless by a Fiesta club at £4.50. It made me wonder if
anyone in the club has the facilities and inteest to make available some of the
NLA parts for all of our cars that are "just engineering" - and regular
problems (lots of hits of the P clamps failing).
It's the kind of thing done in other clubs I'm a member of, and may already
exist in some way - but if so would be useful to see in the club mag
Cheers
StevieCee
