Ah yes I know there are some faster ones than mine and as said banzai Bob the twisty bits is where our cars are superb, then why are they so cheap??? its as if we all know something the rest dont. What I did find is that on the firsy lap before the tyres are warmed you have to be careful as its tail happy which is odd for a FWD car but suits me fine as it reminds me of the Pug 205 GTI, however once warm it grips like a Scots man on a £5 note. Jim they are 195x50x15's and my battery is between the rear bulkheads and they it upright fitting outside ones first and then the middle ones but the boot is very tight down on them. The special that I built could have been used but Sawsea lost the cheque and its not registered yet so that would mean borrowing/hiring a trailer and as its only done 100 miles since finishing it I want more time to make sure it works correctly. To be honest I doubt it would be more fun than the Quantum and I have gradually ironed out the faults in the Quantum with you guys help. Week before last my daughter Rebecca took me up the Goodwood Festival of Speed hillclimb in an Ariel Atom supercharged to 350 bhp and frankly that was a rocket 0-60 just 2.5 and 0-100 in 5.5 I have been totally spoilt and at 63 still a speed freak, maybe I will grow out of it one day.

Ok with only around 120 horses it wasn't a racecourse but it could keep up with the 7 guys on the twisties. It earned me the Banzai Bob nickname as I was able to show just how good the Q is with relatively low power. Having bought Matthew Wastells Zetec turbo Q I now have the power that makes overtaking a breeze and find myself having to slow down all the time, as I'm at 70 mph wink wink before I know it. This on low boost or about 200 bhp, the same as you John? This really does make the car go very very quickly and will embarrass some expensive machinery. All great fun😀 Bob Sent from my iPad On 19 Jul 2014, at 18:38, "jon jackson" <[email protected]> wrote: Had a great track day yesterday at Abingdon using the Quantum 2+2 RS turbo, it went so well we were in amongst the Lotus Sevenites, Porsches and such like, so much so we had several people including a marshal comment on how well it was going. A Honda S2000 owner came up to see what we had under the bonnet and was astounded that a little CVH looking so harmless could catch and pass him even on the straights! He looked then at our worn Toyo 888's and then our road Uniroyal Rainsports and said "how do you get them here"? I replied that they all fit in the boot as well as the tools and he thought the car was a Tardis. I cannot praise the car too much as my wife Diane drove it on track too. I bought it just over 4 years ago and it was a torque steering nightmare but now its a pussy cat. The fuel however was gobbled at the rate of approx 15 mpg while on full blast. Now how fast would it be if I had a zvh in it? Bye now Jon (trackerjack) -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Quantum Owners Group" group.
