They are cheap because it's a niche market. Most people want the thrill of a 7 and dismiss the Q as a standard style car. There's no denying that 7s are thrilling to drive but having owned my first Q for 8 years, it was hard to choose something with less boot space and wind protection, particularly as a Jim Hearn/Matthew Wastell built example was available which would give as much or more power than the average 7.
