I just tilt the scuttle up to get access rather than remove. on my red extreme the scuttle was held down in 3 places. engine bay middle and down each side.
on the v8 there are 2 more on the inside of the car,just in toward the foot wells, but I had them removed as I was lifting the dash so much! no rattles.
