Are you sure that both switches have become faulty at the same time? Try this: with the engine not running turn on the headlights and observe the brightness on a wall or similar in front of the car. Try to operate the window switches. If the headlights dim, the window switches are probably working. Maybe the motors or mechanism have stuck. If there is no change in the brightness, maybe there is no voltage at the switches because the fuse has gone. On my 2+2 the fuse was an inline type and hidden behind the fuse box. It took ages to find it.
