Hello everyone

Thank you all very much for such a quick and comprehensive response.
My local garage has managed to remove the faulty switch which has enabled
the unbroken one to function again after a fuse change. Fortunately it is
for the drivers side window and he has , as I suspected he would , asked me
to locate a replacement for the broken one.
Thank you though QM editor , that looked like a very good procedure. I have
often noticed the headlamps dim when the electric window motors are in
operation and wondered if it wasn`t some weakness in the electrical system.
it is somehow reassuring to know that it occurs on other 2+2`s.
Thanks to you quickly identifying the switches as coming from a Mk3 BMW e30
I have found at least three websites that will sell me some new ones.
PAULK`s posting that he may have some in his garage was of great interest
to me as I am keen to keep Kitty as original as practical.
How can I get in touch with you PAULK to find out if you still have them in
your garage? I would be glad to come to some suitable financial
arrangement. Can you put a message on here if you have one and are willing
to part with it?
Once again the depth of knowledge of the owners club has proved itself. I
am only sorry that I cannot be of such good help to other members.

*ALL THE BEST*
