I have to say that the Zetec turbo can be quite frugal if driven with a light right foot. I never really work out MPG but the run to Stoneleigh and back last year was relatively painless in the wallet. I did have the speed/ acceleration limiter installed (otherwise known as my wife). In general though, it's a toy to be driven quickly, so fuel consumption isn't a consideration. If I'm out with guys in 7s, fuel stops are usually every 100 miles or so and I just top up when they do. Hoping to do a trip to mid west France this year, so I'll have a good chance to monitor fuel consumption. Google maps says its 951 miles one way, so will be over 2K miles with some running about over there. Bob
