It's the 'special' that Eddie created! Chris - If the wiring loom is completely
dead it could be the fusible link that has fizzled out. If it is the fusible
link then it needs further investigation because something major (load-wise)
will have caused it.

Hi Julian, welcome to the Q family,

You haven’t given much for anyone to go on.
  Mike??
There were alot of these cars made, all to the different builders spec.
Was it a factory or home build?
If it was a home build did they have help?
  What’s the chassis number H4 ----
  Reg number?
Someone on here might have owned it in the past.....

I’ve just had to take my saloon off the road due to a dead wiring loom, so I
share your pain........

  Enjoy.

Hi. I've just taken on this unique vehicle from Mike and have been reading as
much of its history from the supplied documentation as I can. The broad brush
of what it is and what has been done are pretty clear. What I'm trying to get
to grips with are the finer details.

One of those details is the wiring which is broadly good but in need of some
TLC, plus I want to make some additions. It's no surprise that this vehicle has
been altered somewhat. I've not really investigated in any detail yet, just
looked at it! (I'm not planning on doing anything until I've done my homework).
I have ordered the relevant Haynes manual (limited use, but a starting point),
but would greatly appreciate any information that anyone can offer as to what
changes were made and how they were implemented. For example there are two 15A
fuses that have been added close the battery which seem to have no obvious use,
but which may be related to the audio system that was fitted and removed. There
is also a pair of running lights which do not work. At this stage I have no
idea how they are (were) powered.

That might be a pointless quest, time and tide will have eroded that
knowledge base. But if anyone knows anything, I'd appreciate it, it could
potentially save me a lot of time tracing cables.

On the same topic, it occurs to me that it would be useful to have access to
a build manual. If I'm tracing cables, what runs where? Apologies if that is on
the site (I've only just thought about it), but assistance, or a pointer to
where I might find one would be useful.

  Thanks in advance.
