Hans
It's toughened glass, not safety (=laminated) glass and it will shatter if you
attempt to machine it. Best regards

 Subject: [Quantum Owners]resizing rear window

I need to put a new rear window in the coupe.
I have a brand new MK1 rear window but it is just a bit to wide at the top
Over an area of about 10 to 15cm it needs to be smaller
- 3 to 4 mm at each side (incl. a 1 mm expansion gap)

Any Idea how to do this

Grinding / sanding/ . . . .  with water to cool the glass?

Is it made of safety glass?
Than I might be able to cut it . . .
http://secondchancegarage.com/public/149.cfm

Has anybody done this before?
