As always...... measure 3 times and cut once! Without seeing the shape you are 
cutting out, my suggestion is, having marked the cutout, to drill any 'corners' 
and then join them up using a hand (leather glove) held hacksaw (or handle 
specially made for the job) keeping within the lines, and use a carborundum 
file or some 60 grit paper glued to a piece of wood to clean up accurately to 
the lines. It is worth sealing cut fibre ends with some resin to prevent any 
water wicking into the matting.

  So having purchased the vents I need to cut 2 holes in my bonnet , so I want 
to get it right.

  Has anyone any advice on best way to cut apertures, best tools to do job ,am 
I better sealing cut fibreglass ends to prevent/reduce spiderweb damage to 
surrounding area.
