Hi Mike I had the same issue with Q2-002 a few years ago, it would tick over all day, or run on full throttle, but cut out in between. It turned out the fuel line was breaking up inside the pipe, and bits of steel were somehow getting through the filter into the carb, and blocking the 'normal run' jet. The particles never made it to the 'fast run' jet. When the car stalled, the particles dropped down, so it started straight away.
Cleaned the carb, new copper fuel line, and all good now.
