You might be jumping the gun here. I think that area is where the two halves of the fiber glass body are joined. Most H4s have a rubber strip over this join. I only know of a single H4 that had the join smoothed and painted over and that was a white car.

I suspect that may be filler cracking rather than anything more serious.

Recently I thought it was to time to do something with the H4. Charged the battery and it started first time after 18 months standing, quick check over, evicted mouse, cleaned discs and went for MOT. Failed on perished suspension arm rubber, changed arm MOT passed. Just needs a service and I can start using it; or so I thought until I noticed crack in fibreglass below drivers door. Now I believe the H4 is unsafe and will probably have to be written off. Am I right? Opinions/suggestions please.
