If you want to "autostart" fullscreen, al you need to do is put the composition in /Library/Screensavers and choose it as a screensaver.
Applescript allowed me to change compositions-- now that Leopard is allowing composition loading -- I'll have to see if I can just have a master composition to orchestrate. Besides change modules, Applescript can load it in as "background" screensaver that replaces the desktop. There are a few apps around that allow you to use a QC composition as the desktop as well. I found it a bit tricky with Applescript driving, because I have to "prime the pump" on setting the screensaver in the controls, and writing to the screensaver app in system as well.
