1) For Auto Login, go to System Preferences ... Accounts and then selection "Login Options" with the house icon. Choose the account you automatically log in as. You will be asked for the password.
2) I mentioned that in my other email. You can "run it" with the Screensaver Engine already built into the OS. Or there are third-party apps that can allow you to run it as the desktop -- which lets you put things in the foreground... 3) Try hooking up a second monitor to your computer. Or just look at System Preferences ... Display Preferences and choose "Gather Windows" -- my guess is that the output your composition is being viewed in is showing up as another monitor. Just choose "mirror display" -- the other issue is that the display window is stored in the composition. So, when you are on a higher resolution monitor, it may be visible -- but put it on an 800x600 monitor, and you can't find it unless it is full screen. So, either increase the resolution and move it and then save it -- so that you can see it when you open it again in 800x600, or go to the current User preferences for that comp with the path ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost and find the file name of the composition you are having trouble with, it will have a random number at the end (your network user unique ID), and ".plist" -- that's the preferences for your composition. If you delete it, the window may reset (though, these may just be the preferences created by the screen saver. Anyway, I'm guessing that will solve issue #3. 4) That really isn't necessary. The reason you might want to do it may be performance -- because apps seem to run quicker than the QC files -- it may be an issue of being an interpreted text file, vs. a compiled app. And it might be that normal applications get a higher priority than a screensaver. I might want to test the screensaverengine with "renice" to set it to a higher priority. _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list. They will be ignored.
