obvious question and im sure the answer is yes, but does your GL
context is double buffered and VBL synced?
NSOpenGLPixelFormatAttribute attributes[] = {NSOpenGLPFAAccelerated,
NSOpenGLPFANoRecovery, NSOpenGLPFADoubleBuffer, NSOpenGLPFADepthSize,
24, 0};
GLint swapInterval = 1;
v001GLPixelFormat = [[NSOpenGLPixelFormat alloc]
initWithAttributes:attributes];
v001GLPreviewContext = [[NSOpenGLContext alloc]
initWithFormat:v001GLPixelFormat shareContext:nil];
?

I've got an application that uses a CVDisplayLink to drive a

exhibits some tearing (or shearing), as though the display link
isn't quite synchronized with vsync.
