When I went to launch Quartz Composer, it bounced a few times in my dock and crashed. Can anyone suggest what might be happening? When I create a new user and try to launch QC, the same thing happens. Should I just reinstall from the Developers Tools DVD?
Can you check out the console logs (Console.app) and see if anything interesting is printed out before it crashes? That should help to narrow it down a bit; I'm guessing that a reinstall won't help, but you could try that too -- it shouldn't hurt anything.
Can you describe your setup a bit too? I think there are some unusual hardware configurations which cause QC to fail at startup, this may be one of those cases? I'm not personally familiar with this scenario, but it might be something to investigate further.
