yes.. I've got the random patches running of a patch time in a iterator which has another patch time dealing with the duplication. Christopher Wrights suggestion of clicking the "Use Perlin Noise" checkbox on the random patches seams to fix the problem..

I'll try your suggestion and see if it is that . Ta mark

Try having the random patch outside the iterator and brought in as a value. That way the deviation will be less 'random' and give you the slight changes you want. Sounds like it is getting initialized as a new object each time, so the random seed makes the randomness much greater -- it that makes sense.
