Hi Aram.. first of I meant Quartz Composer not Quartz (didn't realize there was a difference).. Secondly I think we might be at cross purposes here... I mean adding modeled 3D shapes / objects from on of my 3D apps (e.g. maya) to manipulate within Quartz Composer... I'm not familiar with COLLADA - .kml - or dae as formats... I was thinking along the lines of .dxf - open GL - something along those lines

Could you put the straight on those formats?.... many thanks

COLLADA, .kml, and .dae are just different formats to store 3D data, like dxf. Some minor differences, but for what you're wanting I'm thinking they're mostly interchangeable.

We have a plugin that's in Alpha right now that loads dxf files (among others) into Quartz Composer. If you'd like to be an alpha tester, I can probably send you a copy....
