First of all, just want to say I'm still new to QC, but it's a heck of a lot of fun (even if the iterator patch is apparently slow)...

Anyhow, my question for the list concerns compositions and iChat AV, so hopefully I'm asking the right list. Everything I've read claims that, provided a composition follows the Image Filter protocol, and it is in one of the standard locations (/Library/Compositions, /System/ Library/Compositions, or ~/Library/Compositions) it should appear in the video effects list.

Thing is, I can't get any compositions to appear there. I've tried putting them in all three locations, I've even tried replacing the Apple-provided compositions that do appear with mine, all to no avail. I've made patches that conform to the protocol and do nothing else, i.e. image in pipes straight to image out.

Yes, I know I can take my composition and drag it into the video effects window, but that doesn't come anywhere close to what I want. That just treats it as a backdrop, and as such doesn't even provide an image feed to the composition.

I'm running 10.5, on a Macbook Pro. What gives? :)
