Every time I run the wind tunnel example I get a KP after it runs for about 5 minutes or so. Sometimes sooner if I'm mucking about with the settings. Can everyone else run this one without issues? I'm running it on a 4870.
I've been running the windtunnel simulation (http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/samplecode/OpenCL/OpenCL.zip ) for about 10 minutes now (NVidia 8800, MBP) without any problems. (I'm assuming by KP you mean kernel panic, and not an application crash?)
The backtrace you provided doesn't reveal anything interesting -- it's calling -count on a structure at the moment of death, which is hardly panic-inducing. Are there other threads in the backtrace? Are they anywhere in/near the CL driver? (I'm guessing that's a likely culprit for a kernel panic).
