hi, ... the black background issue may be solved updating GL tools plugin to a recent version (1.4 found at Kineme) others issues seem to be a sort of "witchery" undocumented and rarely discussed effect caused by several reasons going from a corrupted QC preference plist to a bug in the latest QC framework. Problems you may expect: mesh template crashes the app, slow performance in some of your (until now) perfect compositions, etc.

The template chooser window had black rectangles on it (this is the most obvious issue - screenshot attached) 2. When I press 'close' on the template chooser window, that Quartz Composer instance disappears. Other instances stay open. (I can't remember if it always did this, cause I normally don't press it) 3. My sprites no longer appear in my viewer (new ones do, unless i give them an image, then it disappears). So, i'm not sure if there are all related, but since 1 is the most obvious I thought I would tackle that first. 2 i'm not sure if i'm a bug and 3 could be a bug, or i've done something stupid and forgot about it. But I have to start somewhere so i'm going with 1. :) Does anyone know what would be causing this? Googling for 'black boxes' and 'quartz composer' get's results, but none about bugs :( Regards David L <Screen shot 2010-02-02 at 6.47.58 PM.png> _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
