Also Andrew,

As an addition pointer, Vade produces a Movie Player plugin. The std player, while working, was giving me errors with the movie file I was playing in the Graph Foundation Log (Enable it in Prefs). This typically slow things down. I was getting 14fps with std player, and with Vade's I'm back up to 60fps which is what my system seems to max out at mostly.

Also Vade's player has additional controls to save you constructing functions to manage playback logic.

I have added a short QT mov to a screen saver Im working on.
Is there a way to trigger when it plays, from which frame, etc.?

in a best best case scenario, it would reside in the composite on it's frame one until it is triggered to play.
when it's done it returns to it's frame one where it waits for another trigger.
