Hello George,

what is you scenario? Why do you need this?

Once I had a problem with evaluation order of custom plugin patches, so I 
attached a "blind" billboard patch to one of the output ports of that patch. 
"Blind" means I setup the billboard to render a single pixel outside the 
visible screen, so it has a minimal performance impact, but will force to 
evaluate the patch in question in first place.
