Hi Achim

That was an exercise in public humiliation to expedite the solution! I had it straight after I hit 'Send'.

Commenting can be tricky to decide where to do it without bring down comp but yes I do use. Once I put a log each side of the actual line I realised my mistake, changing my variable name in some places an not another ;-)

Should start working more in text editor with all the conveniences of search/replace, indent tidying etc etc I guess but I love the instant feed back of typing in QC itself. Some kind of script to copy & paste from Text editor to QC every time I hit enter would be nice :-)

Hello Alastair,

we neither, without source code ;-)

Maybe you can narrow it down by out-commenting half of the code. It is good now, you know that the bug is in the out-commentend section, comment-in half of the out-commented code and try again. if not, you have to comment out even more (again the half of the remaining code) This is kind of a quick-sort-algorythm for bug location.

With no line reference, and even flooding the code with Log statements to find the offending line zone, I still have no idea what this refers to. Arhh!
