This didnt seem to work for me.

Could you attach a working compositon for me to help understand?

I mentioned mesh when i meant cube. The comopositions im working on includes a mesh but i replaced it with a cube to keep the file size down.

I tried various ordering of the layers but it didnt work.?

Hi Jim,

Reconfigure your stacking order -- the gradient in the RII with the cube is rendering to the third billboard, which covers the second billboard (shadow).

Cheers,
Jerry

I have a a composition that is rendering a shadow.

I want the mesh to have a gradient below it but when i activate the gradient i lose the shadow.

If i have a clear inside the render in image everything is fine but when i add a Gradient into the patch its removes the shadow.
