Kineme's kinemeCore plugin will allow you to make patches 'safe' for certain application like Keynote. Goto kineme.net to DL for free.
I've used to enable comps in Keynote that otherwise wouldn't work. Not sure about live Video inputs though long time since i used.... Certainly there are many VJ and Vision mixing apps like BonixTV that will render your composition for you no problems if it renders in QC Editor.
