Noise Industry FxFactory is certainly a great tool for turning QC files in FCP plugins but if you are just looking to create some kind of incremental counter I imagine Motion would fulfil your needs. Motion costs a good deal less than FxFactory but it is an entirely different tool.
Without knowing specifically what you are doing (as opposed to metaphorical rockets) it's hard to offer other suggestions. But Kineme also has a rendering application that renders out QC files given certain inputs. It can be automated to generate video files with a terminal commands or scripts providing the published input values. It's called Quartz Crystal. I've used it to render out QC files by incrementing the input values with a script to generate say atomic models for all atoms in the PT.
