Hmmm... This worked for me without the JRE download when I downloaded their current 8.0.2.2 version to a debian vm, which is using the default OpenJDK java runtime. It seems to run fine.
If you're using the fedora template, I suggest installing the OpenJDK JRE if its not already there. Otherwise you could use a debian template with OpenJDK.
