Well first off, completely rebooting my computer seems to have resolved whatever it was but (as I answered below) I did reboot the guest (the template right?) it is not a standalone and i did boot the appvm after the template was updated. Another small question though, I wasn't familar with "locate" i tried it and was prompted to install mlocate (did within the appvm and then it error'd about no db?
