If I understand it right, on newer Intel systems Coreboot is limited to only calling closed-source, proprietary initialization procedures versus older systems where it handles the entire process (less some binary blobs).

Maybe they see something they can no longer stomach.

I bought my first AMD system this week.

Welcome to the club! Hope they don't continue following Intel's path with closed-source PSP etc.
