functionality - maintain state when searches filtered by institution

Qubit already allows searching the holding of an institution (link?), but
this functionality if fairly primitive, and it's easy to "lose" the current
institution when refining search results or when clicking on the returned
results. The Saskatchewan Council for Archives and Archivists (SCAA) has
detailed specific requirements for this enhanced functionality:
* allow institutional members to use the database as their
institutional database, i.e. have an entry point from which searches can be
done for just that institution, and which institutions can use as “their”
database
* the current interface already allows searching to be limited to a
single institution, but there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to return to
the starting page (a new search, unless you follow the link back to the
institution, starts fresh, searching all the institutions)
