reference code errors by duplicating repository code

Due do this reference code duplication problem, if a user changes the
country code and/or identifier of the related repository, only part of the
duplicated reference code is changed - see example below:
Reference code: CA CVA Mss. 1 [proper behaviour]
Reference code (after repository change): USA CoV Mss. 1 [proper behaviour]
Duplicated reference code: CA CVA CA CVA Mss. 1 [current issue]
Duplicated reference code (after repository change): USA CoV CA CVA Mss. 1
[additional behaviour related to current issue]
