Juan,

If you are successfully running ntpdate and that command is setting your
clock and if you immediately run ntpd and the first 'ntpq -p' shows that
your clock is already 3 seconds (or whatever) off, and a minute or so later
it is 4 seconds (or whatever) off, you have a Problem on that machine.
