It read to me like an advertisement, not a solicitation to join a group.

??? a) No I would not click on a web site to follow up on something like
this. 
b) The price would have to be much less than $50 to make it worthwhile to
buy this rather than a Garmin 18LVC. It does far less, except maybe the
bluetooth.

c)I suspect that he knows the price or at least the range of prices. 
Bulk buying prices are typically 10% less than single purchase. 


d) Are you really advocating that this newgroup is a good place to
advertise for objects that have nothing to do with time keeping?
