As of the last time I looked, commercial NTP hardware started at around $1200 US! You CAN spend a LOT MORE. If you NEED it, that's not too bad. If you merely WANT it. . . . For the price of a discarded PC with a working serial port plus $300 and up for a GPS timing receiver, you can have your very own stratum 1 NTP server.
