Just my $.02, and y'all know Im not a windows guy. Yes, it would be ideal to have the timekeeping be as good as possible under all circumstances.
And along the way we will continue to find situations that just mess us up, and other places where we learn that doing better under X causes us to do worse under Y. This is a definite improvement for folks who care about X and not Y. If we can automatically detect when a "behavior shift" is needed and effect that change, great. If we cannot automatically detect these situations but we have a mechanism that would allow folks to select the behavior that is best for them, that's just fine. Let's keep making incremental and/or quantum (no puns intended) improvements. And if we're talking about -dev, I'm perfectly OK having some "learning experiences" along the way. -- Harlan Stenn <[email protected]> http://ntpforum.isc.org - be a member! _______________________________________________ questions mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ntp.org/mailman/listinfo/questions
