Mills put in a fair amount of work into getting ntpd to converge faster on startup after ntp got a lot of complaining about how slow it was to get to a reasonable time at startup. That all occured after 4.2.4 So, if you want to take advantage of that, you need a more recent ntpd. I am shocked that RHEL5.7 uses 4.2.2 That is really ancient. > > There are 967 entries in http://archive.ntp.org/ntp4/ChangeLog-stable > after the release of your version of NTP... > _______________________________________________ questions mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ntp.org/listinfo/questions
