Two of my Garmin 18 (not x) seem to have bit the dust after about 3
years. That is in Vancouver, where the winters can be pretty rainy, and
the units were unprotected.
It must be a kinder climate in Edinburgh - my single GPS 18 LVC has been
happily sitting outside for over six years, quite a lot of that time
sitting on the roof. The 18x is sensitive enough to work indoors.
