Lee,

I am turning vegetarian but I also am now following a buddhist lifestyle too. I also have seen the Peta video's and no doubt they turn my stomach everytime I then see meat of any kind.

I have a hard time because I also have food allergies. I am allergic (to name a few), to wheat, soy, legumes, nuts (all), bananas, melons (all), fish (all), and a few other small food items here and there. I think I have an egg allergy too, but I use that product called Ener-G Egg Replacer in baking anyway. I have been trying to find where I can get my protein source. With my allergies, it has been very hard to figure out what I can eat and still meet the vitamin my body needs. I do take a multivitamin.

My turning point has been recenting with me following the Buddhist path. I was already at the point though that I can't eat seafood of any kind, I don't eat pork, rarely ate red meat, no turkey, so my biggest one I've given up is chicken.

I have been eating cheese, yogurt, breads, veggie chili, etc. I do have some help, my friend is vegetarian but going vegan. I can't go that far with my allergy issues, but I help her along the way as much as I can!
