1. Touring Mars in 3D
......................

Mars may be 300 million miles away, but you don't have to go there to,
um, go there. At the Science Museum of Minnesota, you can take in Mars
and its eerie red beauty in the world's first high-definition, digital
3D theater that carries you right onto the planet's surface.

The solar system premiere of "Mars 3D," produced by the Science Museum
of Minnesota and Twist--a video production house based in Minneapolis,
Minnesota--provides a stunningly realistic journey to Earth's closest
neighbor. It's based on 3D images captured by NASA's two roving robotic
geologists--Spirit and Opportunity--in one of humanity's most dramatic
interplanetary expeditions.

Read more about "Mars 3D" and watch the trailer.

"The Good Ones," the first video from the Kills' keenly anticipated
second album, "No Wow," tells a familiar tale of the craving for and
desperate pursuit of that elusive good time. With a nod to the late '70s
New York--when the hedonism and excess of disco eclipsed a thriving punk
scene--"The Good Ones" may evoke thoughts of Studio 54 in its day, but
its message remains relevant still.

iTunes Music Store.

Newman, Willie Nelson, Tom Waits, Sting and Mose Allison.

Every day, thousands of commercial ships load and unload their cargo at
shipping ports worldwide. In addition to their intended cargo, however,
these enormous vessels also ship other, unintended cargo. Hidden in the
ships' ballast water--the water used to stabilize the ships when they're
not carrying a load of cargo--and stuck to the ships' hulls, millions of
tiny plants and animals also make their way around the world.

The Apple Learning Interchange electronic field trip, "Biological
Invasions: The Introduction of Non-Native Species Worldwide," will get
you thinking about invasive species and how they affect you, how you
affect them and their introduction around the world.
