I recently tried installing both Quills trunk and QuillsEnabled trunk in a single Plone instance. It failed mostly because of some overlapping syndication adapters. It's quite easy to be mended. It would make migrating 1.7 to Enabled easier (It would also merging the two code base easier. Are there such ambitions?).
