For the record, I am +1000 with Titus here. In the last few months I have been
seriously considering of quitting Quixote, because I don't want to get caught in
a dead branch of the evolutionary tree of Python Web frameworks (yeah, I
purposely worded that strongly ;)
I am still not entirely convinced by CherryPy, but is growing so fast that it
cannot be easily dismissed now as I did two years ago.
I am not sure if Quixote will survive outside of MEM Exchange; but I would
like its good things (the form framework, the trasversal algorithm) to survive,
even if in other frameworks.
In my opinion, all encompassing Web frameworks should all die; Python should
offer some basic functionality in the standard library, and all other
functionalities
should come as external interchangeable plug-ins. Not sure if this
will ever happen,
though ...
