I tried to reproduce this, with a freshly opened instance, and measuring qutebrowser's RAM usage after all pages were loaded. I get 310 MB (rather than your 588 MiB), and 318 MB with Otter. I'm wondering, does it look the same for you when you launch with --temp-basedir?
