Conferencing used to work (even if not very stable, see test results below).
However, in the current qutecom release (fresh build) you cannot connect to a third party at all. We've tested with several SIP accounts and you always get a connection error (no special log message) when you try to connect to a third person. This is true for both, when you initiate a conference from the menu or when you want to add a party during a call (which is a nice new feature, indeed). And the error is independent for audio or video conferencing or the preferred audio codec used. Did anybody make similar observations? In kvats we've temporarily "fixed" conferencing by disabling it with a settings option put to false. But conferencing is expected as a standard feature today. --Roland All sorts of instabilities were observed with kvats RC1 when testing Audio and Video conferencing. Below are some voices from testers: All Platforms (XP, 2000, Vista) Vista: not reproducible problem: not able to start a conference, either one party is not able to reach "Fehler" or the client shuts down and a crash report pops-up (screenshot); sometimes it was possible to conduct a voice conference surprisingly it was possible to start a conference, but after a few tests with holding one or two parties the client crashed, crash report -> screenshot not reproducible problem: only a few conferences could be startet, most of the time one of the participating clients crashed (sometimes when putting someone on "hold") when it was possible to start a conference: host of the conference put one party on hold -> worked; when the host put the other party on hold (first party already active again) nobody could hear the others!! XP: when putting vista user on hold: all conference users are muted; when putting Win2k user on hold: OK Windows 2k user sounded distorted When Vista mutes me, all conference user are muted when putting vista user on hold: all conference users are muted; when putting Handset user on hold: OK generally with conferneces: instable, not always possible to establish, often client shuts down 2000: Cannot start conference call: Error when adding 3rd person (softphone or handset) generally with conferences both audio: instable, not always possible to establish, often client shuts down _______________________________________________ QuteCom-dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.qutecom.org/mailman/listinfo/qutecom-dev
