Patrick Perdue happened to mention in passing:
I'm wondering what the easiest approach would be for importing these
sequences to QWS?
Since QWS can only record one midi track at a time, could I just set the
midi track to zero, make the TS-12 sync to external clock and record
everything in one track, splitting up the channels later, or is there a
better way to do this?
No, what you suggest here is what James and myself and Arfy in fact,
suggested when someone ages ago wanted to record his Yamaha Styles to QWS.
Just make sure to get the metronomes all synched up. QWS will record all
midi channels and you can run the split tool later and save and reload the
sequence, with your patches all being sent back to the keyboard upon reload.
For this to definitely happen though, make sure your scan method is set to
first available.
To do this:
Alt, o, o, that brings up the options dialog. Alt i, for the scan method
for initial settings radio button.
Hope that helps.
