Hi, take a look at the midi implementation chart in the keyboard's manual.
You can probably configure qws to receive the controls as system
exclusives.I've not done anything like this with qws but used to do it with
powertrax, an old windows 3.1 sequencer that happened to be accessible, and
my old roland keyboard all the time.
Can't remember which keyboard it was sorry, I owned a few in those days and
it was 15 years ago and I was a little fond of a good time, <smirk>.
Note: what make and model is the keyboard?
Btw, just for the record, on the desktop we use a creative labs Audigy to
play sound fonts when we're not using the kn3000, which of course is an
external keyboard, <smile>, and the laptop currently using synthfont but
would love a decent soft synth since I haven't managed to get synthfont to
work as a windows device such that I can use anything but synth font to play
the midis, despite some great assistance on list concerning this, thank you
to those people.
Looking forward to seeing the results of your research and anyone else's
answers on this one.

AT last I got a keyboard. So now I am looking for nice soft synths to
control from it. I was using soundfonts and SynthFont, but I've noticed
some misbehaviour in it, for instance it disregards pitchbend completely
except before a key press, which is a pity since you can't vary the key
once it is sounding. So I'm wondering what do you use as the synth part of
your setups, to make the actual sound. In particular what do you use to
play soundfonts? Any other recommendation would be appreciated too.
As a little aside, my keyboard has some sequencer buttons that are meant
to control the sequencer program, but I haven't managed to get qws to work
with them. Would there be a way to do this, or would it be easy to include
as a feature? My feeling is it wouldn't be too difficult since something
similar is already available, it's just that these buttons are probably
sending different midi events.
