Hi Louis,
I have not encountered the problem you mention about not being able to
select patches via QWS when using VST instruments. It's the proverbial "It
all works fine for me."
However, you did not mention which synths you are using - so there is a
possibility that this is a problem peculiar to the particular synth you are
using.
The thing that springs to mind is that you mentioned that all the settings
in the QWS Track Properties are -1.
In order to send any MIDI parameters for a track, you *must* set the MIDI
channel for the track. Valid channels are 1-16.
Typically, you will have to set the channel and then OK the dialog to
confirm the setting, then you can go back and hear the other parameters take
effect in realtime.
